Workshop details
1) 108 Sinew Releases
The “108 Sinew Releases” have been called “the greatest gift that Tui Na has contributed to Chinese Medicine.”
The Sinew Releases govern physical movement and posture, and play a major role in pain and perception. In this three-day, in-person course, we will explore in depth the theory that governs the sinews and their releases. We will learn diagnostic parameters and clinical applications for the releases.
The course is designed to provide a strong theoretical foundation, coupled with ample opportunity to practise the releases under expert supervision.
Workshop goals
- Become familiar with the theoretical foundations of the Sinew Releases.
- Learn the principal diagnostic evaluations unique to the Sinew Releases.
- Become comfortable performing the Sinew Release protocols in a clinical setting.
- Explore the kinetic, structural, postural, psychological and spiritual implications of the Sinew Releases.
2) Introduction to Tui Na
A Classical Chinese Medicine Approach to Tui Na
Tui Na is a complete healing system and one of the four pillars of Chinese Medicine.Workshop goals
In this three-day practical training, we will explore Tui Na as the foundation of needle techniques, while learning to palpate Qi, Blood and external pathogenic factors. The course will also focus on treatment approaches through the lens of the Six Divisions and the sinew channels.About Tim Sullivan
